📢 Editor's Picks

Here are the two places my fiance and I picked for this week!

  • XYZ the Tavern
The value here is just wild. You can't beat $3 draft beers, $2 bottles, and $5-6 bar snacks (like a pulled pork sandwich with fries!).

  • Southern Tier Brewing Company
This is the place for true local flavor. They brew specialties right on-site at their downtown spot.

🍺 Taprooms

  • Southern Tier Brewing Company This isn't just some national brand their downtown spot brews "Cleveland Brew'd" specialties right on-site.

    • The Vibe: Sophisticated but totally accessible. A huge, beautiful space right by the arenas.

    • The Deal: M-F, 3-6 p.m. Get $2 off all drafts, spirits, wine, and shareables.

    • Location: 811 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland

Great Lakes Brewing Co. If you haven't been, is it even possible to call yourself a Clevelander? This is a rite of passage.

    • The Vibe: Historic, rustic, and pure Ohio City. You're drinking in a piece of Cleveland history.

    • The Deal: They have a dedicated happy hour menu with $1 off their year-round beers (like the Dortmunder Gold, my favorite) and $15 pitchers of Cold Rush.

    • Location: 2516 Market Ave, Cleveland

City Tap Cleveland Don't get this confused with the chain this is our local, unpretentious beer bar. This is where I go when I just want a ton of great options.

    • The Vibe: Classic downtown pub. Lots of TVs, great burgers.

    • The Deal: The "deal" is the selection: 40-44 rotating taps. You'll always find a local craft or a national favorite to try.

    • Location: 748 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland

🍅 Cleveland Fun Fact

The famous Chef Boyardee brand started in Cleveland, Ohio. An Italian immigrant chef named Ettore Boiardi opened a restaurant, and his sauce was so popular that customers wanted it to go. This huge demand led him to bottle and sell his sauce, eventually creating the iconic brand.
